On Thursday, April 26, at 7:00 p.m., Tallahassee Citizens Against the Death Penalty will hold our annual end-of-year meeting and social hour.  We will gather in the Westminster Room of First Presbyterian Church, at the corner of Adams and Park.

Our special guest speaker will be Terry Coonan, Executie Director of FSU’s Center for the Advancement of Human Rights.  Those of you who have heard Terry know he is a dynamic and effective speaker.

In addition, the program will include short reports on three topics:  1) the death penalty and the current session of the Florida Legislature;  2) the work of the Governor’s Commission on the Administration of Lethal Injection;  and 3) the activities of TCADP during 2006-2007.  We will also elect officers for the coming year.  The slate of nominees will be announced within the next few days.

This will be an occasion for conversation as well as program.  Refreshments will be available before and after the program.

It’s been an eventful year.  Let’s talk about it.  Come and bring your friends.
