Clarence Hill to die this Wednesday evening, September 20, at 6:00 p.m

It is increasingly likely that the state of Florida will take the life of Clarence Hill this Wednesday evening, September 20, at 6:00 p.m. Follow the news; if a stay is granted, it will be at the last minute.

If a stay is not granted, I encourage you to be a witness against this action of the state by attending one or both of the following services:

Vigil at the Governor’s Mansion–Wednesday, 5:45 p.m.
Service of Remembrance at Capitol Rotunda–Thursday, noon.

Each of these will be a brief, dignified service to remind our leaders and the public that a growing number of Florida’s citizens stand against this misuse of the state’s power. Walter Moore

The National Coalition Against the Death Penalty will send a letter in your name. Go to their website (www.ncadp.org), click on the name of Clarence Hill under “Imminent Executions,” and follow the instructions.

Governor Jeb Bush has again signed a death warrant for Clarence Edward Hill, who received a last-minute stay last January. The execution is now scheduled for September 20.
